Mick Bell
Last summer I visited the McIntosh Labs and saw their new Music Server demonstrated. Pretty impressive! Also pretty pricey! I began looking for an alternative and finally decided to go with the Roku M2000. I riped all my CDs onto an external hard disk in lossless WMA format using Windows Media Player. Then I networked my computer and ran a line upstairs from my basement to the living room and the M2000. The Roku M2000 has digital and analog outputs. I used the analog outputs to my Jolita integrated amp. The Roku M2000 is pretty impressive. Using its remote, you can brouse the music library on your computer by genre, artist, album. You can also play internet radio. The WMA lossless sounds as good as CDs to me and the internet radio sounds as good as XM. There are a number of media servers out there, among them LinkSys and D-Link as well as Roku. Mick
J.4knee
So what is the list on the MS300? You can just round it to the nearest thousand.[]
