Larry1 Posted February 11, 2006 Share Posted February 11, 2006 This particular failure has been reported a few times in the past (rare). I would stop using the system until you talk to Klipsch tech support. In a previous example someone had this failure at night heard this loud banging sound and then woke up to damaged satellites when testing system later on. Its almost sounds like 60 Hz somehow leaked to input of amp and then the sub woofer was traveling to full excursion (banging sound) like its stuck on maximum volume. The last in a series of bangs since I purchased the IFI a week ago appears to have killed one of the speakers. I've boxed it up and am ready to head back to Circuit City at Union Sq, NY, as soon as the snow ploughs have cleared a path thru the drifts.
