CarlV
I only want to power the front 3 channels w/ this amp. The amp is a parasound 806A. Only 4 of the 6 channels are bridgable to 180watts. 6 X 80watts or 2 x 180w + 2 X 80w I currently have Klipsch KLF-30 and KLF-C7 (center not bi-wire/amp capable) Here are my options: 1. Bi-amp the left and right fronts and bridge the center. 2. Bridge left and right fronts and get only 80w for the center and waste one channel I'm pretty much mixed between the 2 options. I'm more critical with music but spend more time with movies w/ this system. I've heard bridging will create more S/N Ratio noise to the amps thereby reducing the 180watt quality. Also, I don't have much experience with bi-amping will I get alot of improvment w/ passive bi-amping? Let me know guys. System Denon 3801 parasound 806A (coming today) klf 30 mains klf c7 center heresy (side and rear surrounds)
CarlV
Well since I didn't have the Y adapters to bi-amp I just bridged 4 of the channels to drive my KLF-30 fronts. All I can say is awesome! This amp bridged for 180watts brought life to my KLF-30 that I had never heard before. So much more clarity and dynamics then my Denon 3801. Turned up to reference levels and my klf30 still sung like a champ. I haven't tested movies yet but in stereo this amp rocks. I don't know if I'll do the bi-amp thing, since bridged sounds so sweet.
