J Tanman Posted November 19, 2001 Share Posted November 19, 2001 I recently bought the HK DVD 50 and the picture quality was great, but the disc changing mechanism was painfully slow and after a week it completely crashed. The picture kept flickering and shifting then the player froze up and wouldn't give me back my discs. I unplugged/replugged the power cord and I was then able to retrieve me DVDs. I read that this is a firmware problem and that HK has addressed it, but I would make certain that the player you get is updated and that it is easily returnable/exchangeable.
