DrWho
If you can save up for a bit I would highly recommend the Synergy Sub-12. The Sub-10 is a big step down - moreso in performance than in price.

DrWho
Well you will have to decide how long you want this subwoofer purchase to last. I would not recommend buying a lessor sub now just to upgrade again in the near future - in the long run you're going to lose money.
christjared
I just found this post on here about a DIY project which would be great for me over the winter break here at school http://forums.klipsch.com/forums/thread/755981.aspx I might give this a try, but i need to find room for 5 cu. ft. of box in here
DrWho
If you read on you'll notice that you only need a 3.5 cubic foot cabinet and you could theoretically get away with 2.5 cubic feet (with a lil extra EQ). The Assassin drivers can handle way more power than they're rated for. Total finished cost comes to almost exactly $300. [] I must confess my goal was to exceed the performance of the Sub-12...it comes real close.
