Poormana
Just bought a set of used speakers: 2 x KG 5.2's 2 x KSF-S5's 1 x KSF-C5 They are pretty beat up. The corners of the C5 have started to peel back from the MDF and the tops of the S5's are very scratched. Everything else looks good and they seem to sound pretty good. I'm looking for advice on the repair. I would like to replace the top and bottom covers on the S5's with new ones if those parts are out there. They look like the same size and shape as the new SS line, so I'm hoping I could get those parts. Anyway, I'm opening up the floodgates to advice on repair/restoration of these babies. If anyone needs pictures for clarification, I'll try to get those posted in a day or two. I'm laid up from back surgery right now....... My KG 4's are about three times as old, have moved 9 times, and look much better. Shame people don't take care of stuff. Thanks in advance, Andy
DrWho
pictures speak a thousand words. You might try giving klipsch a call to see if they don't have something that will work: 1-800-KLIPSCH Good luck on your recovery and welcome to the forum. Poormana
I have been in email contact with them, they say none of the current caps would fit, so, I'll be trying to figure out how to clean them up and fix them. I'll try to post some pictures soon. I just hope that I enjoy these as much as my KG 4's. Thanks, Andy
