eacmen Posted January 22, 2007 Share Posted January 22, 2007 Best buy was having a special with the Qunitet III/Sub-10 combo. You basically got a free Yamaha HTR-5940 receiver if you bought the quintet IIIs with the Sub-10. I decided to give them a try. For movies they seemed great. But for music I was not so impressed. After having them for 48 hours I packed them up and brought them back. Drove to the nearest klipsch dealer (almost an hour away) and picked up a hybrid cinema 8/10 setup. I got RSX-5s for the fronts and RSX-4s for the rear and RCX-4 with a RW-10d sub. I got RSX-5s as fronts for better music. It is a *drastic* improvement over the Quintets (even with a Sony receiver).
