Weak bass from the Sub(Again..)

HI,

I got my gmx 2.1 for about 3 month old now,

for about the first 2 week i got a problem which is the sub start losing its power, meaning the bass is not powerfull anymore, i usually just turn the sub knob for 1/4 and it does much satisfy me but suddenly the boom and punchy bass is not there, i have to turn the knob all the way up until 3/4 .. and the sound is still wrong, I am an audiophile and i can tell the difference between the bass sound.

Anyway, After I realize that problem i went to the klipsch dealer and got the sub for tested, and its true, they compare with the brand new sub and the sound is different, they replace me with the new sub, i am so happy at that time, until.....About 1 week ago the exactly same problem happen againn....OMG....this time got extra problem which is the cracking sound everytime i turn the volume knob in the control pod, the cracking sound only appear on the right speaker, i try to switch the satelitte but still the same, always the right speaker produce the noices. anybody have any idea? And the sub, yeah... the same thing happen, the bass is not deep and powerfull as before...

Is that because of the power outlet problem? i try to connect to different outlet but still the same. I live at singapore now, and i know that klispch change the voltage to 230v if I am not wrong, is the problem because they didn't change it correctly?

Please guys I really need help here... I miss the "old good sub moment"

Thx

looks like you blew both the subs somehow. are you sure you are not pushing the system too far ? if you want more bass, add another sub to the system. make sure the vacinity of the sub is properly ventilated, also make sure the power strip has enough power to power up your system. possibly use a power regulator with your system.

klipsch didnt do anything wrong with the voltage. they manufacture 230V version to sell outside of the US and 120V version to sell within US.

for now, see what the dealer has to say... best of luck
