Audio Tornado and 4.1

Hey, i am thinking of getting the Audio Tornado. I have the 4.1's. I was wondering what can i do with it? Can i hook it up to the tv or dvd player and how? Also can it be hooked up to my computer and tv or not? What is the purpose of the device?

The Audio Tornado, AT, takes in a Stereo or Digital SPDIF and Optical input and change it to 2.1, 4.1, or 5.1 output.

So, if you have a source that has stereo output, optical or spdif you can hook it up and it will decode the DOlby digital

but, you can only have the stereo and one digital input in at a time, i think the SPDIF takes preference over the Optical.

most nice dvd players have optical output. you can hook it up that way. some tv's have stereo output and the AT does prologic so it will make it surround.
