I need a new receiver that supports a min of 3 HDMI (DVD, PS3,DTV) inputs and 1 HDMI output. Looking at Sony's site, the replacementfor my ES9000 is the 7100ES? I see fromsearching the web that this unit is discontinued though? Sony also offers the 5200ES, which has all the video specs i want, but less power. I'm also looking at the Denon AVR4306, which is the same price, and meets all my specs (with some subtle differences)Anyone have any input on this? drick Posted March 11, 2007 Author Share Posted March 11, 2007 Take a look at marantz. it looks like the SR8001 is in that price range and feature set. i am intrigued by the 8001's 4 hdmi 1.2 ports, as the sony only has 3 (spec not provided), and the denon has 3 (v1.1).
