There is such a thing as too small a room for too big a speaker, but it realy depends on a lot of things. Examples: If the towers are too close to the back walls, sometimes they can sound boomy, or if they are too close to each other, the soundstage could be compromised.

Then again, Jay on here has the RF-83's in a dorm room, and he loves them to death, so it all depends.

The RF-7 and RF-83 comparison is really more a matter of taste than one actually being better than the other.I highly doubt that Klipsch would have replaced the RF-7 with an inferior product. There is no doubt that each speaker sounds a little different, but I certainly would not venture to say that the RF-7's would blow away the RF-83's. I know there are a few on the forum that have experienced both, hopefully they will jump in to give you their opinions......
