7.1 back surround question

Recommended Posts

Greetings,

I recently read about the new Onkyo receivers that can decode the newer formats. (dd plus, dts hd) I'm currently running a 6.1 system in a 12' W by 18' L with cathedral ceiling. I'd like to get the new Onkyo receiver later, and so need to figure out my back surrounds.

Right now I have RC-35 center, Quintet II fronts ( gonna upgrade to RF-63 later on) RT-10d sub, RS-35 surounds, and Quintet II center for Back Center. My Onkyo receiver is 85 watts per channel (TX-SR601), and the newer one I think is going to be 130 watts per channel. (TX-SR875)

For the back surrounds, should I go with bookshelfs (RB-51or 61) or should I do more surrounds back there? (RS-51 or 61) I do movies and music 50/50 and also an ocassional dvd-a.

Thanks
