thxknight
Anybody out there have any knowledge or experience with the older line of M&K subs that included the V-1B, V-2B, and V-3B. I have an opportunity to get one used at a good price, so any information or opinions would be appreciated.
Guest JimG
I used to sell M&K when I worked at retail. The V-3B was still current back then. It's a decent sub. 12" driver with a 50W amp. Sounds good for music, not really impressive for theater or any high volume applications as it doesn't have enough power behind it. I guess I'd have to know how cheap a "good price" is before I could tell you if it was a good deal. BTW, I own two M&K subs currently - a MX-70B (in the bedroom with a pair of S-85's) and a MX-145 (in the theater with RF-3, RC-3, RS-3). (The MX-145 is going to become a rear channel sub soon as one of our prototype RSW-15's is going home with me for some serious bass!) I like both of my M&K's, but they are both high-end models. The V-3B was more entry-level. Jim
