pmardis2
Im trying to decide which sub to get for my newly built HT room. I like the old Klipsch RSW12, RSW10 subs, but the RW12-d is the newest 12inch subs that is available. Im trying to stay under a grand. As EAR said, between the RSW-10 and RW-12d, the RSW-10, hands-down. Now, the new RT-12d would best the RSW-10. Expensive, though.
pmardis2
Will the old RSW10 go lower and play louder than the new RW-12D since the RSW10 has only a 10inch woofer versus the new RW12-D that has a 12 inch. What will be the major differences between the two subs. Any advise will be appreciated.

TheEAR
No the RSW10 does not dig deeper ,it starts to roll of around 30Hz.It is as defined as it gets, slam deluxe. The less expensive RW sub will dig deeper at the expense of definition and built quality. To be fair you would have to pit a RSW10 VS the RSW10d.The 10d digs deeper and moves more air(same driver as in the RT-10d and one PR in the place of two). The RSW10d will dig a few Hz deeper than the RSW10.
