Heno
OK, Just picked up my new iFi and plan on getting it all hooked up this weekend. Now don't laugh, but I will also be purchasing my first iPod this afternoon. I am replacing a 100 disk jukebox that is hooked up to a noisy / failing amp. Looked long and hard and the iFi was the only thing that really delivered a home stereo system. Simple question. Is there any issue with using monster speaker cables rather than the smaller ones provided? The ones that came with it are only 6 ft long. I plan on running my cables through and under the floor of my house. Total distance of the run will be about 15 feet or so. Again, any issue with this plan? spyderracer393
I usually would say, that you are better off using the best possible cables, but in the case of the iFi, you really aren't going to notice a different. I use Apature 16 gauge cables with mine, but those were scraps laying around from my home theater system. It really won't make a noticeable difference.
