  1. couldn't use a volume attenuator to adjust the output? obviosuly, the best thing you could do is buy a real mic with phantom power and a nice preamp. I know m-audio makes some small reasonably priced pres.
  2. I usually would say, that you are better off using the best possible cables, but in the case of the iFi, you really aren't going to notice a different. I use Apature 16 gauge cables with mine, but those were scraps laying around from my home theater system. It really won't make a noticeable difference.
  3. I really don't want to get into this argument, but you are very wrong in saying, "This product must have a design or production flaw or there would not be so many complaints," because looking at a forum, you aren't seeing a single percent of all iFi users in the world. The only people that come to forums are those in need of help, those looking to help people, and these that need help making a decision. People don't come onto the forums and say, "I LOVE MY IFI! EVERYONE SHOULD GET ONE, IT HAS SUCH BALANCED SOUND AND THE CROSSOVER IS GREAT, etc, etc, etc."
  4. nope... the OP is correctthe 80 GB is the same as the 60 in thicknes...
  5. nothing wrong there...thats just how it operates when you adjust the volume.
  6. Is the whole knob missing or just the little red piece? If the whole knob is missing...thats a problem. If its just the little red piece, you should be fine. Good Luck Although, it the knob is missing, they are probably still under warranty and you could probably have the satellite replaced for free...
  7. Well, the iFi has a more accurate sound, not such boomy bass. Have you tried cranking the bass up with the control dock? If you have, and still feel that the bass is underwhelming, then yeah, go for the promedias....but I love my iFi.
  8. yes, get a cheap 3.5 mm stereo mini jack cable and plug one end into the subwoofer, and one into your pc.
  9. one of my satellites doesn't sit flat, it wobbles, I called Klipsch tech support about it and they said that they would replace the speaker, has anyone ever gotten a speaker replaced from them? Is it brand new or a refurb? Thanks, -Brad
  10. try calling Klipsch tech support at 1-888-554-5665 and they will help you through it.
  11. Okay, so I have a mini stereo cable that isn't long enough, so currently I am using an extension cord with it to plug it into my computer, am I losing any song quality with this extra connection point? Thanks, -Brad
  12. well, i have foudn the cable for 6 bucks, and the reason I need it is because I am getting static whenever my current cable is touched.
  13. Has anyone used this cable with the Belkin AV20601-06 PureAV cable with their iFi? If so, how is it. Are gold connectors better than silver connectors? Anyone use any cable better than this one? I haven't been able to find a good stereo mini cable... Thanks, -Brad
