Type E crossover without T2A?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

first sorry for my english, I am from germany ;-)

My problem:

I have bought a Heresy I from ebay. yesterday I open the heresy to take a look inside because I planed to upgrade the crossover and cables. In the past someone has done nasty things with the Heresy. The crossover was cast in something like concrete! Additional there was a lot off mineral wool inside the body. So I must build a new crossover.

I have found here the diagram for the crossover, esteblished about a inductor 2,5mH 12 AWG, 2 condenser 2uF and a transformer T2A. Is there any alternative to use normal inductors instead of the T2A?

Best Regards

Joerg

Joerg,

Welcome to the Klipsch forum.  Your options to replace the T2A would be either the 3636 or the 3619 autotransformer.  I can supply either of those to you.

 Send me an email.

the device is an autoformer....not an inductor....there are numerous autoformers avail...but for your purposes....I would go with Bob's recomendations.
