pauln
Just wondering if you have ever noticed... Sometimes a group records a song that has by accident borrowed the melody or theme of another song. Two examples: On the Yes album "Relayer" at the end of the first side the side guitar begins a section where the slide is playing note for note and beat for beat the melody of Barbara Streisands' "Memories". In this case the execution and beauty of the Yes song makes you forget about BS's song in a few seconds. A more despairing case is Yes again in the album "Drama". One of the songs takes the theme melody from the old show "Leave It To Beaver", I kid you not. In this case the embarassing link does not fade away with the execution, it just gets worse every time they play it. What crossed melodies have you heard?
