After about 10 seconds into the piano intro, Oscar Peterson comes across the stage and boots the original piano player out, mumbles something, then sits down and picks up and plays on... without missing a beat. Similar to the way Getz briefly solos first (sounding sort of like a tired big band clarinet), then John opens a can of whoopass on him.
