Impedance curve and specs for Cornwall III's

Impedance matching is only critically important where maximum power is being transferred.

For audio, this is in the two octave frequency range centered at 250Hz.

If a speakers is nominally rated as 8 ohm it means they behave pretty much as an 8 ohm in this range, even if they depart from that in other ranges.

Impedance absolutely matters for many reasons other than power transfer ratios....

As far as I know, Klipsch has not released any impedance response data,

but I don't think they would be opposed to the idea - especially for a

customer wanting to make an informed amplifier purchase. You might try

giving them a call: 1-800-KLIPSCH

However, there was a great review of the Cornwall II on a website that

I can't seem to find at the moment. There, the author provided all

sorts of information as to the nature of the speaker - including the

impedance response. While it's a different speaker, the Cornwall III is

going to have a very similar impedance response. If I remember

correctly, the lowest impedance is about 3.8 Ohms down around 40Hz and

then there are impedances above 30 Ohms through the midrange.

That's the best I can do. Hopefully someone can chime in with the address of that website.
