Shirow
Click here to view my room: http://shirow.m-n-m.net/main.php?g2_itemId=118 As you can see, the room is fairly small and difficult to work with. Due to the size of the furniture in the room, my most central spot is on the furthest lefthand side of the couch. I currently have two Klipsch RF-5s and an Rw-10d. I will shortly be replacing my television and moving the front speakers further apart and relocating the sub to the right hand side. Due to the unfortunate shape/size of the room, my rear speakers will be faced directly 90 degrees at the side of my head. I do have some leeway to place them above my ears but not behind. I will be placing the center channel below my new TV (LCD) which will be mounted on the wall. I am driving the speakers with a 60w per channel Harmon Kardon receiver. So, based on these shortcomings, I have a couple of questions: What, currently available, surrounds and center channel do you think would fit best into this setup? Where exactly would you recommend placing the surround speakers?
Shirow
Well, I'll go first I was thinking of trying to find an RC-7 - do you think this is overkill for the small room? Would an RC-62 work OK?
masterxela
Go for the rc-7 if you can fine one, they are quite rare now. I'm sure an rc-62 would work fine. Oh, and theres no such thing as overkill, just headroom.
