kenratboy
We have had a 720p Mitsubishi RPTV for about 2 years and its been fine. Used a Denon 1720 DVD player with component video out and things have looked fine. However, bought a Denon 1730 for $50 because we needed the 1720 for elsewhere. Hooked up the 1730 with HDMI to the Mits and got everything setup and calibrated. Put in 'Zodiac' and started to watch. The picture was noticeable better (sharper, clearer image, looked almost as good as DirecTV HD) - but one big issue. LOTS of noticeable moire on things like clothing, window blinds, etc. IIRC, there is an issue with a lot of HDMI DVD players and HDTV's - and IIRC, this was how it manifest itself. I tried 720p and 1080i and that didn't make any difference. Any advice? I LOVE the sharper, clearer picture, but the moire is very annoying. Thanks!!!
