mas
I got some of this to make corner wedges. This stuff is waaaaaaaaaay heavier than it looks! I need to think about how I'm going to get this up into my corners. Which corners? Vertically it supports itself and all you need do is prevent it from 'tipping'. If suspended horizontally in a ceiling/wall junction, you must actually support it. In either case, 3M spray adhesive applied VERY LIGHTLY between partitions can be used JUST to help keep it from shifting. It is NOT intended to be a permanent fixed bond in order to construct a solid contiguous structure. This can significantly influence the performance as this bond quickly becomes reflective. One simple method is to securely install two quarter round (or similar) channels (with countersunk screws), and then to weave in a diagonal pattern with a very light gauge wire mesh with channel contact points spaced ~1.5 feet apart, alternating making contact with each channel in a VVVVV pattern. Additional support can be achieved by installing an additional weave in an inverted pattern to the previous weave. Then you simply cover the weave and semi-rigid material with an open weave material ranging from unbleached muslin, to burlap (granted, not the fanciest) to Gilford of Maine FR701.
