Darkelf
What is the proper way to connect this sub to the reciever? I have a Denon-3808ci which has a single line out for the subwoofer. The connection on the back of the RT-10d has a left and right input. I have tried it with just the left or right connected to a single monster cable sub wire, but I am unsure if I am recieving full input this way? I purchased a rca jack splitter but have had intermittent sound issues(signal cutting out completely).
Guest srobak
According to figure 3 of the owner's manual (on the very last page) - single-channel sub out or LFE from a receiver should be plugged into the RIGHT channel - however, I would be surprised if it made a difference (My Sub-12 is marked for the left). I would do one or the other, but not both. Here is the actual text from the manual: CONNECTIONS CAUTION: Turn off your amplifier and your subwoofer before making any connections! LINE IN- Your Klipsch Reference RT powered subwoofer is connected via line level connections only. Use the Subwoofer, LFE or Pre-amp outputs of your systems electronics to connect to the LINE IN input connections of your subwoofer. Use high quality, shielded, line level cables for these connections (refer to Figure 3). sivadselim
And set the 'Lowpass' setting to "Lowpass OFF LFE Mode".
