searayrunner
Synergy 12 Is this a problem or more of a nuisance? Does anyone know what might be causing it to happen? I am assuming since they are on the same circuit its picking up something through the circuit but it doesn't do it when the receiver is on or the cable is unplugged so my assuming must be off point. Can this cause damage to a sub over time. Thanks for any help!
TheSoundBroker
It is unlikely to cause damage, but is irritating. You might try changing the switch if it is old. The contacts may be corroded and arcing as it is flipped.
Guest srobak
how hard does it thump? If soft, then probably not much to worry about like TSB said. Is moving it to a different circuit an option?
searayrunner
Well it thumps enough that you can feel it but with this sub that is easily done. I have shut off the Celing fan at the pull chord and its stopped doing it when i hit the switch so i am now thinking its the fan motor? RF maybe?
