JayAz
I recently fell victim to the dreaded 2.1 DIN curse. There is a temporary fix in place. I was considering modding the amp/sub box and pod with female rj45 connections. The pod would just have a wired stub sticking out, because there is very limited room on the back of the pod. I like the idea of not having a set length between the pod and amp/sub, by using a cat5 cable of almost any length. Physically it seems feasible, but what would be the drawbacks? JayAz
It's Alive! With the help of a dremel, Cat5 Keystone jack, silicon, RJ-45 connector, solder iron, RJ-45 coupler and RJ-45 crimp tool, I have modded the promedia 2.1 to use a cat5 cable to connect the pod to the sub/amp box. It was a learning experience and would do a few things different if I had to do it again, but it's a solid connection. Photos coming soon. Sheik
This is actually kind of cool idea! How painful was it to do?
