chumpkin1
Hi All, I am looking for advice about which rears to get for my new set-up. I have two RF-35s and an RC-35. Ideally I would like to add a pair of RS-35s, but i can't find any on sale. I am trying to make a decision between the RB-35s (matched voice to rest of system) and the RS-42s. What does this group recommend? Thanks in advance.
lboogie76
Actually, I would opt for the RS52's instead of the 42's. The RS52's replaced the RS35's in the Klipsch dipole line up. So if your wall has the space....The RS52's would be the way to go! Just an opinion. Regards.
InVeNtOr
if you are doing a 5.1 than you want either the rs-42's or 52's depending on budget. you only want to use the rb-35's if you are doing a 7.1 and you are using them as your rear speaker (and also if you are a little ways off the back wall). i also agree to get the rs-52's over the 42's if money allows. it's not a big deal, you can always up the gain to those speakers. as far as rears or surrounds go, you can mix and match them because so little info and voice go to those you won't notice a difference. (at least that is what klipsch tech support told me).
chumpkin1
Hi All, Thank you for the help. I am doing a 5.1 system (the room isn't big enough for 7.1). Last night I found someone on this forum who wanted to sell me their RS-35's. So, looks like things worked themselves out. Cheers!
