vnzbd Posted July 8, 2008 Share Posted July 8, 2008 Hello all, looking for some advice. My current ht is 5.0- no sub due to apartment life. I have KLF-20s up front, c7 center, and KT-LCR for surrounds. Sounds great but.... I have purchased a beat up KLF-10 that needs some tlc and was considering making it a center. Without a sub, I wanted to experiment with more bass from running the center as large. No parts needed, easy project. In researching the fourums, I saw other legend conversions, specifically 20s and 30s. I am looking for advice on the possibility on turning my KLF-10 project into a Hybrid 20. I would use the 10 cabinet, with the 10 woofers(already tuned for that enclosure). I currently have a spare tweeter from another 20. I would need to add the proper crossover and mid. With the new crossover, the woofers would be cut off at a much lower freq. I believe that would be OK. the difference in sensitivity between the 10s and 20s is 2 db.
