  1. I had that problem before. What i did is i went to exchange it a couple of times until i got a unit that is better. I tried fixing it, but didn't work. Just go exchange it.
  2. Hi, I bought the RB-1 Stands that Klipsch sells for $90 USD. Man, i should of known better since you can get the same ones, at Wal-Mart for $30... The worst thing is i don't even use the stands, i am planning on getting the WB-1 wall mounts... -Mike
  3. its a known problem, it's the damn sub. I tried 4 brand new subs and they all did that. Some are worst than others. I just kept the best one of them all.
  4. LOL, you kicked the sub around... hahaha Well, good to hear that it worked out for you!
  5. I have the same ghetto problem too. I have 2 control pods and it doesn't matter. It's the amp itself... I've got Monster Cable and it doesn't make a difference... It just sound better but the buzzing noise is still there... I've put a fan blowing cool air on the amp and it does reduce the buzzing noise... try that!!! -Mike
  6. Hi, Do you guys and girls know where i can get a hold of the ProMedia 4.1 subwoofer only? Thank you! -Mike
  7. MD: good to hear that your sound card works fine! This will influence my buy. What's the latest driver version anyways? -Mike
  8. MD: cool, what games do you play? I play Counter-Strike using my Diamond Monster MX-300 and it's still good until today "even though Aureal went bankrupt and Creative Craps bought them out". I just wanted to know how your games sound.
  9. MD: Do you play computer games? -Mike
  10. Hi, I was wondering if Klipsch Canada/Thorne Electronics repairs or replaces ProMedia 4.1 subwoofers? If they replace, do they give you brand new ones or it's refurbished?
  11. Wait a minute, the neon lights seem to be a good idea! If i wasn't so lazy to get my *** to Wal-Mart, they'd be in my room now! MD: I think they are cool and i am way over 15... P.S: If only my sub didn't burn... -Mike
  12. Do you guys know if Klipsch will repair or exchange my sub? It's still under warranty! If they decide to exchange, will they give me brand new sub or will it be refurbished? -Mike
  13. Hi, Big: No, they are not refurbs. I didn't even get the chance to try my Monster Cable yet! It's so sad. I am using my headphones to listen to music now. At least i can play Counter-Strike with headphones which is better IMHO. MD: I hate Creative, i think they are an unethical company. And their drivers always sucked. I remember the first day of Voodoo 2. If i have to buy a sound card, i would get something from Turtle Beach. Never bought something from Creative and never will. Actually my CD-ROM is from Creative and now it's taking dust.
  14. Which sound card you got? I am using the kick *** Diamond Monster MX-300. The best card for Counter-Strike!
  15. hehe, do you want my Omnimount RB-1 stands as well?
  16. Hi, I got home yesterday and i boot up my computer. I play half of a song "mp3" and my room smells like burned toast. I was freaking out and was investigating if it was from the PC, monitor, fan or subwoofer. I turned everything off and i notice that the back of my subwoofer is EXTREMELY hot. I mean, i played half of a song, it shouldn't be that hot. Upon closer inspection, it seems like my subwoofer is emitting that burnt smell. Imagine if i play 30 minutes of music, i bet my subwoofer would be on fire... Not only my speakers pump out a constant hiss, now the sub smells like burnt toast. And the worst thing is i just bought the ProMedia 4.1 Monster Cable Upgrade Kit. What should i do now? P.S: I have the set for 2 months now!
  17. Hi, Yes my wires are bunched up. Well all of them anyways, i got so many... You sure it makes a difference? Will a Monster Cable upgrade make a difference? -Mike
  18. The hiss happens after 5 minutes of usage! I unplugged them for the whole day and at night when i am back home, i plug them in and start playing some mp3s, the hiss starts after 5-7 minutes of usage. -Mike
  19. I am still waiting for my Monster Cable to come to see if it helps! I will try to get my discman from my girlfriend back and use the input plug to see if i get any hiss. Chan: I did try cleaning using alcohol. Didn't work at all, well maybe just a little but not much. -Mike
  20. Hi, I have this constant hiss when the speakers are not playing anything and my computer is turned off. When i play a mp3, at low volume, i can hear the hiss. I bought an EMI/RFI filter and it doesn't seem to work. What to do? *snif* *snif* -Mike
  21. Hi, I am actually shopping for an EMI/RFI power surge bar and i was wondering which one would be good. I know Belkin and Tripp Lite makes them but i don't know what to choose. I am confused between these 2 models. From Belkin: http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Merchant_Id=1&Product_Id=122838 From Tripp Lite: http://www.tripplite.com/products/product.cfm?productID=144#spec P.S: Noticed that the Belkin has a EMI/RFI noise filter of 70dB and Tripp Lite is 40dB. -Mike
  22. Hi, I'll give it a try, i guess it can't hurt. Gotta steal the classic music CD from my girlfriend. -Mike
  23. Hi, So how do i break them in? I play songs non-stop all night at low volume? -Mike
  24. Hi, I've heard it a couple of times here that you need to break-in your speakers in order to get good sound out of it. Is this a myth or a fact? -Mike
