  1. I sold the cornwalls because we may be overseas and I don't want to store them. The new system will be sold with the house, so I don't want to spend a lot, but I still need the "Oh wow" factor when prospective buyers are looking at the house. The receiver is an Onkyo SR501. Any feedback on the sf-2s? Thanks
  2. In preparation for selling the house and moving, I've unloaded my cornwalls and c-7 center. Now I need to replace these with a HT system that stays with the house. Any suggestions on a system (klipsch or otherwise) that won't be too expensive, but that will still sound good and fit with a 70" front projection screen, in a 15' x 18' listening area. I've got access to an inexpensive pair of sf-2s, but was concerned about the sc-1 center- not sure it would be big enough to work with a screen this size. The HK 10" sub will stay as well Thanks for any suggestions. PS- what movie would you have playing during the open house?
  3. St Patrick- Really wouldn't trust my packaging job to get them to California in one piece- would probably pay to have them crated. This plus shipping would add 50% to the price I guess. I am traveling out west this weekend (to St Louis)-it's only about 1800 miles from California- if you left now... Seems like there's a pair a week on Ebay (although none as nice as mine ) I'm sure you'll find some closer to home. Anyone between Findlay OH and St Louis want a nice set of Cornwalls? Greg
  4. I've got a very nice (excellent) pair of walnut Cornwalls- serial numbers are 8451693/4. They sound great and look nearly flawless. I've owned them since 1990. Will deliver w/in a 100 +/- mile radius of Findlay Ohio- Columbus, Dayton, Detroit. Pictures are attached. $900.00 Greg Corns.zip
  5. I've got a C-7 matched to my Cornwalls and it sounds great. When I set everything up with a sound meter, I did have to boost the center channel to get the output to match the cornwalls. As far as timbre matching, the sound is seamless, at least to me
  6. I've got a very nice (excellent) pair of walnut Cornwalls- serial numbers are 8451693/4. Time to let them go as we prepare to move into a smaller place. I've owned since 1990- bought them from a guy in Nashville who claims he purchased them at auction from Chet Atkins?? No way to verify this, but I can attest to the fact they sound great and look nearly flawless. Any idea on a fair price? Thanks.
