  1. I have some wire management to do yet.
  2. I remember my first system back in the early 70's, can't remember the brand but it was quadrafonic (spelling). It had a little joystick for the balance on the 4 speakers. Got into car audio in the late 70's when the Pioneer supertuner became a hot item, with Jenson triaxials. Kinda quit for awhile untill I was in the Navy in the 80's. I had put together a system of 3 sets of Bose 901's with 3 Carver M1.5 amps pushing them, a Kenwood amp with Professional model LaScalas. Shore Patrol came to the barracks numerous times and threatened to confiscate all my equipment. It all got sold. Got back into it again over the last several years. My hearing isn't as good as it once was. I just turn it up louder.
  3. Looks great to me! Its all about enjoyment. It took me several years to afford and put together my system. I bet your setup sounds great.
  4. Avman, never did try both A/B on the floor. The 30's rock, I do have them pulled forward away from the wall some where they are for the rear exit cone. I do question my configuration at times till I turn it up to about 4 volume, any higher and its hearing damage. What? hehee.
  5. Avman, the RP-5 towers to the R and L of the TV have the self powered subs built in the bottom, each with a 550w amp. Both subs are directed inward. I did have to build a very heavy duty shelf for the 30's and center. In the pic you can see the chain supports that tie into the truss above the ceiling. Wish I had a bigger entertainment room, I'd like to have the 30's down lower or even better, Khorns eventually.
  6. I'm not using any front effect speakers yet. Top set are the Main A's KLF-30's, bottom set are the Main B's RP-5's.
  7. Just found this forum and man, what a great place. I'm in envy of many of the systems here. Thought I would introduce myself here and hope to share some of my sometimes limited expertise, hehee. Looks like this is the place to learn and listen for awhile. Here is a pic of my system, the wire management issue has been resolved, looks terrible in the pic. I have since built another cabinet to the right of the TV to hold DVD's and CD's. Not shown is the rear channel behind the sofa. Hope you all enjoy and I look forward to participating here. Scott
