Here is a photo of Alice; she decided to come hang out with us on the 4th of July in '09. We have always had a lot of animal friends hanging out with us over the years. The latest is Jo Jo a 13 year old Beagle from the pound; he needed a good retirement home; we will try to give him one. Later Bill

Congrats on the great deal. Just sit back and enjoy them for awhile. Experiment with the placement; it can make a very big difference.
A good friend of mine had RF-7's sitting in free space ( no way to get them close to corners ) they sounded great; then he moved them into a different room and placed them in the corners. I was amazed at the difference, it really brought them to life.
The Klipsch and Mac sound is simply amazing, Enjoy your good fortune. Later Bill

It was 5 years ago when I got them. That was a long solo road trip.
Sorry but I sold the middle one and kept the matching pair. The single is now a center channel between Walnut Khorns just like it is supposed to be. LaterBill

Yes I too wanted a pair when I bought the '83 Heresy's but could not afford them at that time. Finally got a pair 20 years later. They should still be in production; even if only by special order. Later Bill

I will advise not to use the silicone; the vapor from it will linger for a long time. What did they use to hold them in place at the factory? I would be more inclined to use an epoxy that is not to brittle so that it will withstand the vibrations induced by the speakers themselves. Just a thought. Later Bill

Hello Mark: I need to update that list; I just sold them a month or so ago to another forum member. The Belle's are also '73 models that have only had the tweeter's reworked, one of them quite working so I just went ahead and fixed them both. Then the cross overs are rebuilt AA's; got them from BEC here on the forum.
Unless there is some actual damage to your woofers they shoud be fine; but you really need to have the cap's replaced in the crossovers. They degrade over the years; once replaced the Cornwall's will sing like new.
In upper part of the page just type in BEC and hit search; you may have to do some reading but you will find his email.
I just have a couple of pair of speakers; some members have over 40 pairs. We love all things Klipsch. Later Bill

I ordered one in December of '08; took it to my best friends to try out on Cornwall's that he was driving with an HK 430. It sounded great with the Corn's. I left it with him to check out; ( I was working 7 days a week to meet the year end deliveries) I told him to really check it out and if he did not like it I was going to send it back; I had my eye on a Mac integrated on Audiogon.
He has the RF, RC and RS 7's driven by a high end Onkyo in the living room. The Corn's are in the new game room/ HT man cave. He has over 10 grand in the HT set up with speakers in the ceiling, a big sub woofer, another Higher end Onkyo with a Hi Def Sony Bravia overhead projector with close to a 110 inch screen.
The Outlaw is still there and gets a lot of play time; he is really pleased with it. The only thing I do not like is the sensitivity of the remote; it turns up or down too much. It is like it has a delay before it starts moving and once you release the button it keeps going in either direction. It may just be me; he does not have a problem with it.
He has moved the RF 7's into the cave to try them out with it. I could not believe how much better they sound with the Outlaw versus the Onkyo.
This was a B-Stock model; when we took it out of the box we checked it over from top to bottom. We did not find any defects, no scratches dents or dings it was perfect.
Yes it is worth the money, the sound is great and it looks great. Try one out and if you do not like it send it back. I have been thinking about getting one just for a back up. Latrer Bill

Tried that years ago with the riding mower without success. Most likely it was too wet of a snow down here in Arkansas; it was gone in a couple of days anyway. It was fun trying. Later Bill

I listen to Dark Side of the Moon as reference before changing out anything; then listen to it after to compare the differences. Take the time to listen to what ever you choose in a relaxed setting prior to listening with the new tube amp.
I am sure there are those that will suggest the tubes will need some burn in / break in time before they really come in to their own sound. Any thoughts from the other brothers? Later Bill

With the price being the same it is the Khorn's without question. Please make sure the cabinets have not been in standing water while they have been in storage. Let us know what you think once you have them set up and jamming. Later Bill

Can you tell us more about the speakers you have to choose from. You say they are nice; but what year were they made? What finish are they in? What is the price range for each pair?
I have Belle's due to 3 of the 4 corners of my room have doors and there is no way to set up Khorn's properly. I had LaScala's before the Belle's and loved the sound of both; wish I could have had them at the same time to compare their differences. The Belle's are Walnut, the LaScala's were black. The wife hated the black boxes from the moment she saw them. Later Bill
