  1. even by running my system in 2.1, i can't feel the kick of the 4.1's sub at all.
  2. ya, the klipsch KPT-684 is one of them. It's classified under PROFESSIONAL CINEMA. With it's dual 18" driver, it should be enough for most.
  3. u guys are thinking of all the high end HT subs just to replace the SWS. Why not just add a cinema sub? it should give u enough kick
  4. i believe the rear should not be pointing directly toward the user, http://www.dolby.com/ht/Guide.HomeTheater.0110.html#s3.1
  5. I placed my rear as what home theater placed. they are high on the wall behine me while the front is sitting right on my desktop. But nvm, my rears are only used as a effect speaker in movies and games
  6. i've tried passing a stereo signal through the 4.1, i find that the rear channel do not sound as good as the front. Because of that, i sheldom use my rear channel for music.
  7. using a 4.1 on stereo source is a waste of money.

  10. how can i get an sws when klipsch do not produce any 230v sws? that does't matter for me anymore, i've already gotten the yamaha sub.

  12. it's just my personal preference, i just wanna have some better heat emmiting. I can have it without the heatsink. The amp is warm, but not hot. Go and have a feel at your HT amp, they are warm too but there is nothing wrong with it. This is what i found under their FAQ "The 4.1 speakers will run warm when in use due to their design. It should not be uncomfortable to leave your hand on the back panel for 5 seconds. "

How does SWS compare to the sub that comes in the Promedia Ultra 5.1 set? I appreciate your opinion. ---------------- The sws is a sub-woofer while the RSX-4 is a sat, how can u compare them together?

  15. hey doudou, seems like we are on the same boat waiting for 230V klipsch toys

My country of residence is using default 230v, which is why, I have no choice of selecting a default 230v from those online stores, which currently has such refurbish sets at rather attractive price, therefore, I wish that someone can kindly assist and advise me what should I do? so that I can enjoy my dream of owning one of these Klipsch PM 4.1. Thank you in advance. ---------------- It's not wise for u to buy a 110V promedia and use it in sg. The local agent is not going to take any respondsible for the break down of your system. The 230V PM4.1 is already extinct. I find that klipsch is not bothering about their international customers; no SWS, no ultra, no DD-5.1. Wait for the ultra dude...hope it'll be here..

Have a bad experience with them. Overheating problems in the amp. I do not know if the 5.1's or the Ultras are in yet. They might be better choices if the heat problem has been solved. Think the 4.1's were discontinued here. Fact, Klipsch has the best sounding PC speakers I've heard, but they got to be working first. Will be going down to the service center. Will find out for you what they have. ---------------- The ONLY promedia Tat Chuan have now is the GMX2.1. Don't ever think of getting a 4.1. The 4.1 can no longer be found, it had be discontinued and extinct from stores. The 5.1THX was here long ago, but had also been discontinued. My friend bought it since last year. The 230V Ultra is not even out yet, how can it reach sg? What do u mean by overheating problems in the amp? The amp is bound to be warm during operation, there's nothing wrong with it.
  18. thats right. Unhook the rear speaker until u get a surround soundcard
  19. the 4.1 are actually built for gamers in mind, the four channels are actually producing invididual sound when a quad signal is passed through the amp. If u intent to pass a stereo source through it and placeing the rear speaker in front is as good as using a 2.1, if thats the case, why not just stick with a 2.1 system? Get a pair of stands and place the rear behind u then u'll hear the real 4.1
  20. klipsch did not say whether there'll be a new sws coming out.
  21. but the promedia 4.1 isn't there..they only have the promedia 2.1
  22. i don't wan any fan, i just wanna attach a heat sink..do i need to use double-side tape?
  23. A y-adapter just split the stereo sound into two, causing just a stereo reflection. Using that you wouldn't get surround sound in movies.
  24. hi all, i would like to add the heat sink to the back of the sub. Can anyone please kindly teach me how could i install the heat sink to the back panel? thanks
