  1. I think this speaker is there reason they went so cheap
  2. Incase your curious about what they looked like.
  3. Sorry about posting and not being very active. It is correct i let them go for $400. Didnt seem like i could get anymore for them, well atleast from the people that expressed interest before i closed the deal. Seems like the instant i closed the deal everyone and there brother started to show interest, go figure huh. Kurt
  4. Oh i probably should have mentioned that both k-33 drivers are missing, both k-55 drivers have been replaced with different drivers but the K400 horn lenses are still there, and one of the k77 tweeters and horn lense has been replaced. Kurt
  5. A buddy and I have a pair of KHorns that are in much need of care. They appear to be Style C or Decorator's Model(style D). I am located an hour north of Indianapolis. If you are interested, i have some pics and am willing to take more, email me at liepmann@purdue.edu Kurt
  6. Theres a great place called Sound Central Limited off of South Lindbergh, just south of Gravois. Kurt
  7. How does the fact that they may be these utilitarian models affect their value? Kurt
  8. The speakers are in West Lafayette Indiana, which is between Indianapolis and Chicago. I dont beleive the speakers were used for DJ purposes. Thats what the LaSacals are being used for. The story I gather, is that they were just in a brothers room a long time ago and the one i assume was painted to blend in. I cant assure anyone that the horns work. Havent been able to test them. They have been living in a cold air room for i dont know how many years. Experiencing tempetures anywhere from like 20deg to 90deg. If it wasnt for one of my brothers who is helping me fix this up, they would have been thrown away years ago!!! Kurt
  9. They are Klipsch. There is a Klipsch sticker on the back with an inspection signiture. Didnt even think to take a pic of it.
  10. As you will see from this pic, one of the speakers has been painted :-( What can you expect when it spent its life in a fraternity house. Kurt
  11. A buddy and I have a pair of KHorn that are in need of much TLC. The 15" drivers are missing, and it appears that the drivers in the larger horn have been replaced, and they arent the same. The finish has been painted on one of them. My question is, how much are they worth as is at this point? They have AA crossovers in them, and they are structurally in good shape. I'll post some pics later today. If someone is really interested in them contact me. Kurt
  12. I know the KHorns are supposed to be placed in a corner. I recently aquired a pair but i dont think corner placement is likely. Whats the reasoning behind the corner placement and what will be lost by not placing them in a corner? Also, is there a way to "trick" them into thinking they are in a corner? Kurt
  13. The case seems to be in decent shape, maybe some sanding and refinishing is in order. How much would it probably cost to fix?? Kurt
  14. I posted this in 2-Channel Audio before i noticed i probably should have posted this here but.... After finishing my internship with Klipsch this past summer working on the up and coming Aragon Stage II, I realized that my fraternity house has a pair of Lascalas and pair of KHorns. The Lascalas are currently in use, beat to ****, but still working, but the KHorns are just sitting in a cold air room in need of MUCH TLC. My question is, are they worth fixing? The 15" drivers are missing so what do I need to replace them? Im also not sure if the tweeters or crossovers are working either. Will they be worth anything if fixed? I know they are very expensive speakers but considering what they have been through. Kurt
