  1. I've been trying to find a commercial TV stand that will accommodate my 60in XBR and C7 but it's like trying to get Dolly Parton to squeeze into an A-cup. Anyone have luck finding something that will work? I checked out Bello.com and Racksandstands.com but no joy. Please someone...help me find a black satin fit for Dolly!

Also, I'm looking to upgrade my Marantz SR8300 to an HT solution that includes HDMI. It needs to work well with my Chorus II setup...any suggestions?

Finally, looking for a good sub for HT and 2-channel that will pound the walls and not my wallet.

    Thanks

  2. Thanks all, I did a little of everything except the wood. I wanted to keep the weight down for the buyer. I sat each woofer on top of 2 1/2 inches of styrofoam and bubble-wrapped the crap out of everything. I lined the sides with 1 inch stryrofoam and 2 in on the top. I shook everything good and nothing shifted at all. Should be good to go...

Rudy, how are you man? Just shipping the drivers from that damaged KLF-30. Didn't get picked up for UPT so I'm working my PPL right now. 5 hrs down and 45 to go!!! Shoot me an email on hotmail when you get a chance.

  3. I have a slightly damaged KLF-30 cabinet that I will give away to whomever wants to pic it up. All the drivers, crossover, terminal plate, baffles have been removed...only the wooden cabinet remains. I live in Ruston, LA 71270 which is an hour East of Shreveport. Just PM me and I will respond later tomorrow (getting drunk right now at a crawfish boil)!

  4. Rudy81,

If the contact cement doesn't work for you try these sure-fire methods:

    1. Bubble gum and speed tape patch

    2. Stand in front of the speakers and cuss loudly and repeatedly

    3. Drink a case of Milwaukee's Best Light and kick a hole in the nearest wall

    4. Watch Dumb and Dumber for some laughs

Worked for me on my damaged KLF-30's...Good Luck!!!

The Chorus II's kick a$$, best purchase I ever made...Thanks again!!!

  5. Hey Folks,

I need an appraisal value from some of you resident experts in the field. I purchased a pair of black KLF-30's advertised as "flawless" from a seller on ebay. I received the speakers packed in original boxes with additional packing around the body. The speakers arrived with significant damage, check out the link:

I contacted Klipsch and they do not offer new cabinets nor will they repair damaged ones. The UPS rep visited today and determined the packing was sufficient. I have been unable to get a local business to commit to repair so I need to determine the current value so I can settle with the seller. All suggestions are welcome.

    Thanks!

  6. I need some help setting-up my marantz sr-8200. I'm getting good highs and mids, but my low end is lacking. These 30's should be rattling the nails out of the house and I'm not getting that. Tried adjusting the bass to +6 bd and treb to -6db and I get OK bass. Is there a setting on the receiver that I'm missing?
