This is the first posting of a picture of this room. As far as the amount of work, refinishing the Cornwalls and Heresies was easy. I sanded the oiled oak down to raw wood then stained them with Minwax Natural Brown blended with Peach. I finished them in a Polyurethane Satin finish. I haven't decided what to do with the LaScalas yet as far as finish. I will probably just put a clear coat of Satin on them. Mounting the Heresies was a bigger job. I bought two Peerless size small TV mounts from Home Depot in white and painted them to match the room. The standard max angle down is 10 degrees so I drilled another hole to give me a steeper angle down. I ran the speaker wire out of the wall behind the TV and back up through the attic and back out the wall that the TV stands are mounted on. I used 6 small wood screws to mount each speaker on the stands. Convincing my wife to let me do this was the hardest part of the project, It involved a lot of gift giving,(I usually timed each step around a major gift giving holiday) explaining how much "the family" will enjoy the system, "you don;t have to get me anything for Christmas,Birthday etc.." "these speakers are already worth more than I paid for them" She would just roll her eyes and say "go ahead, just don't spend the kids college fund"
