  1. He uses the LS IIs for his rears and center channel. I suppose he could move the KHorns to rear channel but I think they would be too close to the couch and would not be tucked into the corners.

rmlowz maybe if possible try both bass bins and if you prefer the LS bass bin then you could sell the KHorns and buy two more LS IIs for the rear speakers.

Let me know if you want help moving things around. I have a tube DAC that I need to bring over and let you listen to it.

    I'll give you a call.

  2. Don't expect to shake the house for $500, .

I don't use a sub in my home theater but use Fortes for the L/R speakers and they rattle the windows/walls. So for $500 bucks you can get Fortes which has lower bass than the my La Scalas did.

A Heresy works great for a center channel and rears if you want to do a home theater.

  3. If you are willing to pay $500 I would go with the Forte or Forte IIs. $500 for a pair of Fortes they should be in mint condition. $500 for Forte IIs in good condition is a good price.

Heresys and other speakers mentioned are all good speakers but to me the Forte is the one I would suggest.

I owned Heresys and now have Fortes. The Fortes have much better bass and are a very balanced speaker the Heresys bass is not as low and can be a bit bright(that is how my Heresys sounded to me).

  4. I know a guy that has Chorus IIs with a very nice tube system and they sound great!!

I have a pair of Fortes and they really sound great also!!

Both the Fortes(1 or 2) and the Chorus(1 or 2) are outstanding speakers that are very good for people who don't have the room for the big Heritage speakers.

I find that alot more of my cds sound better on my Fortes than on the La Scals I had.

What I mean by that is the La Scalas sounded outstanding on 10% of my cd and very good on another 10%, but about 60% of my cds sounded okay as long as I did not turn them up too much. The La Scalas were just toooo revealing of bad or okay recordings.

The Fortes just sound soo much better on soo much more cds than the La Scalas did I'll never get another pair of La Scalas or KHorns.

Don't get me wrong when you have outstanding and very good recordings the LS and KHorns are incredible!!

I have found I am enjoying more music now with my Fortes than I did with La Scalas.

Enjoy the Chorus II great speaker!!

  5. Thanks for reminding me how good the music is on this movie!! Need to go buy the soundtrack.

On the blueray disc the making of video goes a lot into the music and people who play on the movie.

The movie would not have worked for me if not for the music and the overall theme of the movie which I will not say in case someone wants to watch it.

If you like the Blues then you will like the music.

  6. I am surprised that Houston is giving the Lakers this much trouble. I figured maybe one win against the Lakers.

Denver and Lakers should be a good series.

Cavs in Finals and picking them to win it all.

  7. it was too loud. I didn't realize I needed to take ear plugs to watch the movie. Some of the scenes were piercing to my ears.

Come on, I like to listen to music turned up sometimes but man its got to be smooth and fairly warm I cant take that screaming crap.

Yeah I agree!! I had a headache when I got out of the movie.

Probably be the last movie I watch at a theater. I enjoy watching movies at my house a lot more. Also what is the point of spending money on a home theater system.

I liked the movie and thought they did a good job with it.

  8. They never did explain how they generated gravity on board the Enterprise. Without gravity on board space travel is a dead issue. (Bone loss is huge after 6 months.)

    JJK

Didn't you hear it is the do hicky thinga that produces the gravity. [:P]
