  1. I have a set of Klipsch 4.2 that I bought in the 90's. They have been great speakers but I'm wanting to go smaller in size, not sound. I know speakers have come along way and sound good in a smaller box. What you you recommend?
  2. Looking at the Harmon Kardon HK-3390 and the HK-3490. Never have own this brand but might be time for a change.
  3. No pics. This is more my study. I have yet to start on the room for the big screen for football games. This room is where I will go to listen to vinyl records since I store them there.[]
  4. I have KG 4.2 that I am going to move into my Man Cave. I may move my KG.5 also just have not made up my mind on them. I have picked out a Yamaha RS 300 that has 50 watts per channel X 2. I found the Yamaha new for $280, one of the things I like about it is it has a phono hookup which I need. My concern is will this be enough for the speakers to get their full sound. I want to keep the price down but then again I don't want to buy this and be disappointed. Any advice?? Thanks for any help. BigJim
  5. I also lean toward Yamaha. I have Yamaha equipment in my living room. RXV850 Receiver
  6. Just wanted to thank everyone for your inputs. I've got some shopping to do.
  7. This will be going in a 12X13 room that is a sitting room off the master bedroom. I have basicly narrowed it down to the Cinema 10 speakers. I'm looking now to see what type of receiver would go good with this setup. I would like to keep it at $500 or less price wise. Any suggestions out there? Thanks for any info. After posting the above went back and looked at some of the other Cinema systems and was just wondering am I trying to put to much into this size of room?
  8. I have a sitting room off the Master Bedroom that I want to put a surround sound sound system in. The room is 12 X 13.6 with 9 foot ceiling. When the house was being built I put in speaker connections on all four corners near the ceiling. I may should have put them near the floor but what is done is done. With a room that small, I did not want them to be in the way. I have yet to buy anything yet except we have a 27 inch TV in the room. So any suggestions for speakers or other systems componets would be helpful. Thanks, BigJim
  9. Thanks Mike. I'll check into this. BigJim
  10. I bought a pair of Kilpsch kg.5 back in the 90's. After having them for awhile I wanted to mount them on the wall. I was told by the people I bought them from there was no bracket for them. Again I'm looking at putting them on the wall. I just wonder what that big screw/bolt is on the back of them is for. Has anyone ever mounted these up on the wall. I would perfer brackets but have thought of putting shelfs in the corners and sitting them on that. Any info would help. Thanks, BigJim
