  1. www.sanus.com See my post a while back, these are the only ones I know of.
  2. Does anyone know anything about the Samys with the xHD3 or HD2 + chips on this website: www.digiupdate.com/105_DLP_RPTV.html
  3. It looks like an infomercial disguised as an authentic an unbiased review. Sort of like the Fox News of Equipment Reviews.
  4. Am I missing something, the posts on LCD technology seem to be outdated or plainly false. THERE IS NO BURN IN ISSUE ON A LCD RPTV. Also there are advantages and disadvantages to both. I personally like the Grand Wega LCD. LCD = Cheaper lamp replacement, no burn in (if you play video games this is important). DLP (Samsung 3rd generation) = slightly brighter picture and possibly better black levels. I suggest just viewing a few different TVs, its all about what you like to see. Also view different sources, i.e. Cable/SAT v. HD v. DVD Some TVs can differ greatly between different types of sources P.S. Get it properly calibrated
  5. Peerless says that it holds up to 100lbs, my only real concern is rattling since it is metal. ssh, which omnimounts did you use, how, got a pic?
  6. Well fourtunately I know a guy who has been making cabinets about 30 years know and he would be able to do it for materials cost. Did you look at that Peerless Mount I attached to my last message, what do u think?
  7. What about this, what ya all think?
  8. How did you make the wall standards look non-ghetto? Got a pic? Anyway to Slowjoe, very creative, looks good, but Im getting the Sony Grand Wega Rear-P LCD which is very steep down the back, so I dont think it would work, but further creative ideas would be appriciated. Thanks all so far.
  9. Is that the Sanus one? Seems kinda cheap. I have their stands for the RSX-5s and they are absolute junk, I dont know why klipsch would have recommended to me, as they did. Any other suggestions?
  10. At 42lbs and with dimensions of 9 x 26 x 12 the RC-7 can be a formidable foe. Anyone have any ideas about how to mount it above the TV when the TV sits 24" from the wall? Is this a problem for other poeple?

    room size ?

Any further suggestions based on the attachement?
  12. DA1984

    room size ?

The room is actually deeper than 15-17ft, its 19.8 ft, or am I misunderstanding you. It will have a 60in TV at one end and a 3 quarter sectional at the other, so the corners are couch in the rear and one is SVS cylinder in the front. I acctually thought it would be a little better than that. Take a look the pic is attached.
  13. I think the bulbs are a little cheaper than that. As far as matching goes, in the reference portion of the klipsch site it says that the RF-7 is a match to the RF-5s, take a look for yourself.
  14. Any Final Thoughts. Anyone else have an opinion on the proposed setup?

    room size ?

    My new room is going to be 19.8 L x 12.2 W x 8 H. Will this be a good size?
  16. First, how far will you be from the screen? How big do you need? What is your budget? You should be able to get them down to $2800 on the 50". I got them down to $3400 on the 60in. Maybe even a little more if you play your cards right and offer to buy some audio equipment at the same time. The rear projection sonys are really nice. Also really nice are the Samsung DLPs with the 3rd generation "thingamajigger" in them are good
  17. Here is my current leaning, but I might be pushed if shoved. Prices already quoted. (Ultmate E.) RF-5s - $900 RC-7 - $675 RSX -5 - Free (because I own them now). Upgrade later SVS 20-39 PC Plus - $900 (with cable) Sony Grand Wega 60in. Rear Projection LCD - $3400 (Ultimate wants $400 more for a 5 year warranty, not including the bulb . Is it worth it, hmmmm? = $5875 w/out warranty, $6275 with + tax = a little over budget, but very close so its ok. Comments? Articulate Announcements?
  18. La Scalas are waaay to big for my space, and no Im not really getting away from Klipsch. Additionally I need at least a 50"-60" TV since I will be 16ft away. Great advice so far, keep it coming
  19. Well I think it is safe to say that everyone likes Heritage. What about this: RC-7 - $650 RF -5's - $1100 Grand Wega 60in LCD w/ 5year warranty - $3800 Rear Channels, have not deceided, RS-7, RSX-5, RS-35, RB-35? Wait, I bet the response will be, let me guess: "go with Heritage dude" Bye the way, Anyone heard the new RVX-54s?
  20. Room size 19.8x12.2x8, for now Reciever HK 330, will be buying also a new DVD player. Remember folks I have to get a big TV on this budget too. Thanks
  21. Thasts 2 votes for Heritage, any other opinions out there, more detail would be apprieciated?
  22. Appreciate the response, but as I said before, Im only interested in a TV and speakers, + that does not really seems like much of a well rounded system for both home theater and music.
  23. What Sub are you looking at?, Im building a new house, room dimension is 19.8x12.2x8 Should sound very suit considering those dimensions are nearly at an ideal rations. Im running a HK AVR 330 currently and am rather pleased with it.
  24. Well, the only problem is that Ive never had a chance to audition any of those lines, Im sure they are balls by the way people talk, but it comes down to finding a place to hear them, at least once before I purchase, especially for used speakers. Any ideas on anything currently being manufactured?
  25. I have $6000 total to spend on a TV and Speakers. I have all the other equipment I need. Originally I had planned on going this way: Sony Grand Wega 60" rear projection LCD RF-35s, RC-35, RS-35 SVS 20-39 PC-Plus Now I'm not so sure, I really like the TV and Sub, however, Ive read some bad reviews on the RC-35 and think maybe the RF5s are better than the RF35s. But Im not sure what would be a good match for the RF-5s since the RC-3II and RS-3s dont seem to be available other than on the net. Please help me to get the most bang for my buck, Im welcome to all opinions and schools of thought. Thanks
