  1. Need some opinions. I have at this time RF35s and RC35 and RB35.Might like to upgrade in future to higher level Klipsch (RF7s or Heritage). What separates would sound the best w/RF35 or speaker upgrade mentioned. Considering B&K ,Parasound Halo,Outlaw and Aragon.Would probably go w/7:1 system. Thanks for all replies!

  3. Check out Kief's at kiefs.com.Bought my RF-35s,RB-35s,RC-35 and and RW12 from them for about two grand(shipping and taxes included).Seemed like a pretty good deal and they are an authorized dealer of Klipsch.Ask for Ed Hawkins or Allison-extremely nice people-Only draw back is that they are in Lawrence,Kansas.Tell them that Jack from Monticello,KY sent you!
  4. I just noticed one of the drivers of one of my RF-35's rattling.I called the authorized dealer where I bought it in Kansas. He suggested that I take the driver out and check for loose connections-either wires to the driver or crossover wires.I then called Klipsch(I didn't want to void my warranty)-They said that that was a first-driver or voice coil going bad in a RF-35-He wanted to know what reciever I was using-Told him onkyo tsr701-100 watts a channel-Technican couldn't believe it--he said that the dealer that I bought it from would have to fix it-that I could go ahead and take the speaker apart and see if there were loose connections-I might have to just send the driver----I took the speaker apart and set the driver on my sub-I left it hooked up and played some music-The driver did not work at all unless I pushed slightly on the woofer-QUESTION-Do I need to send the whole speaker in or just the driver-Is the problem in the driver's voice coil, rubber surround separated or the crossover. What are your suggestions?-I don't want to do without that great Klipsch sound for long!!-Please reply soon!

  7. I have the reference series RF -35 as mains,RB-35 as surrounds and RC 35 as center channel.I also have the Rw12 sub by Klipsch. It is placed toward the front of the room along the side/the mains are placed beside the TV/components angled in the corner leaving alot of wasted space behind the TV/components.I have a second sub,a Kenwood 100 watt sub that I was thinking about hooking up also to my Onkyo 701 and placing behind my Rear projection TV.My Question:What would make my system sound best?

  11. My Onkyo 701 has the calibration at reference level 82db.The onkyo manual says to use a SPL meter(I bought 1 from Radioshack) to set all speakers to 75db.Can all speakers be safely set to higher levels such as 85db and up.Will this be alright for the speakers and the reciever. Thanks for any feedback!

  14. I just recieved my new RW12 sub.It is matched up w/ RF35,RC35 and as Surrounds RB35s.I have a Onkyo 701 reciever that I have set as such:all speakers are set to small, sub crossover is set at 80.The sub is set as such:phase 0,volume halfway and crossover 120.Also I connected the sub as such:I hooked a single Radioshack subwoofer cable into the reciever sub jack and ran it to to the rt and left inputs of the sub(the cable had a Y split) Any suggestions to make it sound the best?? Since I'm a newbie I'm a bit confused on what Crossover setting is considered Max(120 or 60 etc). Please help.

  19. I just recieved my new RW12 today-I had been using a 100 watt Kenwood Sub that has been working w/RF35,Rb35 and RC35.It has 2 RCA jacks so I used a single sub cable coming out of sub out on reciever and it splits to hook to Kenwood sub.It sounded decent. I am using the same sub cable for the RW12,just using 1 split.I have my Onkyo 701 speaker configuration as such:RF35s Mains, set to small-RB35 surrounds set to small-RC35 set to small and rear surround set to small also-RW12 Subwoofer is set to on,crossover to 80-I cannot get any sound when I turn the sub on and do a test on all my speakers. The sub main switch is on and the auto is set to on,volume is set about half-Ihaven't messed too much w/phase or crossover on back of sub-ANY SUGGESTIONS would be welcomed!
