  1. The difference between the RF3 and rf5 is the opposite of what you might first thing given the bigger horn. I had a demo of each before i choose the 5's and found that the bigger horn actually makes the the high end less piercing. I found that when the 3's were cranked up they had a harsher sound then the 5's. not sure why, and this is just my opinion. and although the extra 3hz of bass extension doesn;t seem like much it seemed to me that the 5's had a much more robust low end. certainly not as much low end as the 7's but a very pleasing balance overall. the amp was a denon 5803
  2. NAD makes a DVD player, the T562 i believe, that has wolfson DACs for the two channel output. Supossedly this way you can switch between digital output for DVDs and Analogue for CDs and have them both sound good from one player.
  3. I would like to apologize for me previous statement, and I agree that it was inappropriate. I have reference series speakers and i love them dearly. What I was trying to express, is my frustration as someone who enjoys the reference line and is finding them more difficult to locate. While at the same time, the synergy series is more available than ever. I do understand why things have to be this way. Sorry to cause a commotion.
  4. "Because Klipsch stood our ground on the matching of systems and the rep. of our name, we came to the point of telling these dealers that it is our way or the highway" The unfortunate flip side of this coin is that you can now buy klipsch products at sears. At least you can save time and check out the Jensen speakers while you're there.
