  1. i think the 2) is the better answer.
  2. i think the 2) is the better answer.
  3. i agree with psg when you double something it s +3db. or i ve missed something. can you explain how do you find +6 formica?
  4. one single sub will be easier to set up. less problem of cancelation,placement,...
  5. be carrefull in using several sub:you can have some cancellation. so with several sub you can have less bass than with only one sub.and the response can be not flat at all. of course if you succed in setting your subs it sound beter than with one sub.
  6. the front channel produce the main part of the sound in a movie (i think it s about 70%).so if an RC7 can do this , it can do less than this.

  8. thanks i really try to do my best to make me understand here. and thanks again because i learn a lot on this forum, it helps me a lot to improve my english. the only thing tha puzzled me sometimes is that i don t understand all the jokes and the play on word you all do. but one day i will make succed in laughting with you
  9. i really think that a good wire made of copper, is the best because it s cheap and because the difference between the other better conductor is so little that the other connectors don t worth the extra money. the difference between the other conductors could even not be heareable. and some of us talk about oxydation or stuff like this, they are right there is oxydation, but if you start considering this you should also think about all the micro pertubations caused by all electrical devices in your house, the current that drive your amp and cd player that is not a perfect sinus wave,... in a nutshell you can pay 1 million $ for your cable but i really think it s a little bit expensive to have a gain of output power of 1/2dB against a normal copper wire or even an unhearable difference.
  10. you don t have to apologize. i know the problem: i learnt german some years ago and i ve never practiced so i ve almost forgoten all i ve learnt. french is a quite hard language (after german)to learn, even french people make several mistakes here i can use my bad english, and i m quite happy because i learn lots of words and people understand me quite well.
  11. i hope this sentence will be usefull for you one day do you know what it means? i would go to the bathroom. any way it s a good beginning.
  12. heu...it seems your french is as bad as my english do you mean "i think you are french?"="je crois que vous etes francais?"
  13. ok...thanks.now it s totaly crystal clear. sorry if sometimes i don t undersand, my english is not very good.
  14. no need to debate.it s physics. each metal have their own advantages. depending on the frequencies the copper or the silver can be the best electrical conductor. if you have some speaker with weak high some silver cable can help.if you have some klipsch, it can be bad because you can get too many highs. whith biwired speakers some people use a silver cable for high and a copper cable for lows frequencies. anyway the difference between copper cable and silver cable is so little that they don t worth the extra money your right on this point.
  15. sorry but i don t understand... what do you mean by transfereable?

Heck Nasa uses gold wiring for the fact that it is good enough for electrical usage and the fact that it will not corrode through normal wear and usage. Although add a little mercury and gold is useless ---------------- in fact copper is a better thermal and electrical conductor then silver. what make the silver loved by the audiophile is the fact that silver is a better electrical conductor than copper in the high frequencies. so a silver cable should provide better highs and a copper cable should provide better bass.

  18. if they are under waranty send them back. if they are no longer under waranty open them. there is 4 screw under behind the grills. the mids are may be not hooked or something like this
  19. if i understand well, you have 5 rf35?! it s a good set up. fisrt of all you can set your speakers as "large" on the receiver. you have a sub?
  20. the best is to read the manual of your receiver, to make some tests, and last but not least to trust your ears. if someone come to set up your gear it will sound good for this person but it might not sound good for you. i think before spending some money to configure your system, it worth trying to set it up yourself. then if after several tests and many help from this forum you don t succed, you can call someone. i really think that you will find all the help you need here for free
  21. what about some SB? they are as big as some SS but you can point them to the listening area. you can may be buy some SS5 or 2 SC5 they are small and not very expansive. if it was for me i ll buy 2 SF1 else 2SC1 or SB1 and if your wife really don t want some big speakers take some SC5.
  22. i totaly agree with formica. and 2 good little subs are often more expensive than only one good one.
  23. new synergy speakers?? where are the pics?? can you show them?
  24. ---------------- On 10/8/2004 3:59:53 AM whitewolf wrote: ok as arthurs u said u need more info so i have not heard them and wont get a chance here in Pakistan. i will just get them and i can only come here for help or read reviews. so help me out. ---------------- i n my opinion it s better to listen before bying, and if it s possible, the best is to hear at the place they will be, for example in your living room. so before spending 6000$, you should really listen to them. even if some people said that thoses KEF sound very good, it s their opinion, and you may not love the way they sound. because all people don t like the same thing.
  25. to easily find where your sub will sound the best try this: place your sub at the listening area. then walk around the room.where you ear the best bass should be the best place for your sub. i think you don t need a new sub:if it sounded well before, it should still sound good.
