I am having the same hum problem you encountered with the Rotel 1068. The hum is only on the front pre-outs. Do you know who I need to contact at Rotel or should I just let my dealer handle the problem with Rotel. The hum is really loud. I'll look forward to hearing from you.

Did you ever sell the C7? I have a KV-4 and was thinking of switching to the C7's to match my KLF-30's.

Was this a problem just with your unit or a design isssue? I picked up my 1068 last Friday and haven't hooked any video signals up to it. I personally don't like the idea of having to turn it on when I'm just watching tv.

I have three (3)Adcom amps and have owned two (2) of them for over 5 years. I have been very pleased using them with KLF-30's and Forte II's. My newest amp is a 5500 (200w per channel) and I've only had it for about a week. So far, so good. I've changed to a Rotel preamp/processor, the new 1068 and am getting used to it. Anyone looking for a Adcom GTP-600 preamp and DDG-1 digital processor? I'm the original owner and they are in great shape. As you can tell, I like Adcom equipment. Since they have been bought out, I'm not sure it's the same company. I've had problems getting a response from their customer service department (I was considering the new Adcom 860 II preamp).

When using a KLF-30 for a center channel, how do you have it set up vertical or horizonal? I can't imagine laying a 30 on it's side as a center channel.

Keep us posted on what you find out. I'm really interested since the 1068 I ordered is due in next week. Does the hum stop when you run the video straight to the tv and leave the audio connected to the 1068?

I don't remember the technical rep's name and the LCD was my terminology. However, he did mention THX certification and that may be because it meets their specs without the endorsement. If you've seen the inside of both units, you should be correct. I can only relate what I was told and couldn't justify the difference in cost.

I am currently using a KV-4 center channel with my KLF-30's. Would I notice a difference going to the KLF C-7?

I spoke with a technical rep at Rotel and was told that virtually the only difference between the 1068 and the 1098 is the LCD display and THX certification. I ordered the 1068 last week.

This amp is 2 channel with 200w per channel. Does anyone have any experience with this amp and Klipsch speakers? I will use it to power KLF 30's for my front channels.
