  1. Hey K-horn! Why do you care!!!! Are people going to boycott klipsch because a rap artist had a picture of himself with some klipsch speakers in it? What the f--- are you talking about? I myself am white and I dont listen to a whole lot of rap, but who cares! That doesnt mean Rap music sucks. There is a lot of talent behind that music, and mine and your opinion of it really doesnt matter. The fact that they listen to that **** with klipsch speakers just means they have good taste in audio equipment. As far as rap artists being criminals and drug dealers, they have about 3 decades of catching up to do if they want to be as anti-social as rock and roll. By the way, I think your leader shot himself in a bunker in Berlin before the russians could get to him. So you may want to consider a different view of people and thier music they like. Thats just my opinion......

    upgrade

What would be a good sub to upgrade to from a ksw-15? Keeping it under $1500. Or would adding another sub be a better idea? Chris
  3. The onkyo rx. is a ts-ds696. Its about three years old. I know what your talking about with the jumpers. I had a carver rx and a carver power amp in Japan. To run just the rx you had to have the pre-out jumpered. This Onkyo rx I have has pre outs for "front", "rear", and "surround". There is no need for a jumper. If so you would have to have three of them?. Anyhow I can use all of the 100w*2 on the fronts. I guess thats what it is. Ive never had it bench tested, on the rf-25's, and use the pre-out front for my adcom amp. When you adjust the db level for the front speakers it also adjusts the pre-out level which is what I want to be able to adjust down to watch movies with all four front speakers at the same db level. I have one rf-25 and a polk audio rt-800I on the left front and the same on the right front. Chris
  4. I turned the crossover to 100 and it still does it. I guess from what everyone says is that it is normal for this sub? It has never done this before, or for some strange reason it has and I just didnt know it. I took the back cover off and checked it. All the connetions looked good. There are 2 adjustments on the circut board, maybee that could adust the input level? Anyone know what there for.
  5. Does anyone know of a device that I can use to vary the gain on my power amp. I have a Adcom GFA-555II that I use for front channel spks (polk rt800I's) and I also use a set of klipsch rf25's which are run off the front channel on my onkyo rec. I use the front pre-outs on the rx to give the amp the signol but the only way to vary the gain on it is to mess with the variable db pre-sets which in turn screws up my surround sound. The Amp is rated at 200w a channel and the polk speakers are rated for 250 but at my normal surround sound volume setting the amp is kicking the hell out of those speakers, and its way to loud for a DVD, unless its metallica. The only thing I can think of doing is running the pre out sig. into my eq and using that to cut it down. Chris
  6. Thanks for the info. Im glad its not broke. Im not too impressed with this sub myself. I was thinking about getting another one and have them behind the r and l front speakers but they dont make this sub anymore ive been told so I may just have to figure something else out. Chris.
  7. My sub sometimes will kick off and the green light on the front goes red. It seems to do this with the volume low on the preamp. When you crank it up the sub goes back to green and starts working fine. Is this light a protect circut indicator? The owners manual doesnt say anything about it. It doesnt do this very often but since its out of warranty Id like to get it fixed. Chris.
