  1. I dont know if I can give you much of a review but I have had my SVS PB12 Plus/2 for about 2 ours and the thing so far is AMAZING! I didnt have a sub before and man does it sure make things sound different. I havent even began to push it hard and it is shaking the whole house. Now I need to go back and watch all of my movies again. I got the piano gloss black finish and it is beautiful and it was on sale due to overstock for 1299..... cant be it....Let me know if you have any questions I can help you with good luck in making a decision. Also you can email SVS and tell them your room dimensions and how loud you listen to movies and the will recommend a model to you....
  2. My new home will be completed soon along with my new HT room. I need to upgrade my current receiver an HK AVR7200 so I can get HDMI switching. I am currently running RF-35s, RC-35, and RS-35s. My room is prewired for 7.1 and I will probably upgrade my speaker to the new RF-83s, RC-64, RS-62s, and RB-81s for the rear surrounds as well as an SVS PB12-Plus/2 for a sub. The room measures 18(L) 196 (W) and 14 (H). I was thinking of getting an Anthem AVM50 and pairing it with a Sunfire TGP7200 or TGP7400. Would this make a good pairing for the new Reference line of speakers? Is anyone currently using this Pre/Pro and Amp? Obviously this setup will pack more punch and with the video scaler in the AVM50 it should help make all of my video much more impressive as well again the main thing I need is HDMI switching I have looked at Outlaw and Rotel by they seem to only offer DVI switching.Any opinions?
  3. With so choices out there it is hard to make a decision. I have seen some Outlaw components used as well as B&K, Lexicon, and Rotel. I have also ran across some of the Aragon stuff a Stage One and the 2007 amp is anyone filimar with these?
  4. The room has not been completed yet. For all I know my current equipment may sound a lot better in the new environment. It doesnt sound bad now. I was looking to upgrade just because the area that I am trying to fill with the sound is going to be alot larger. Also, I will be upgrading my current RF-35 setup to the new flagship line so I was looking for some more power since I know that Klipsch recommends that the RF-7 line have 200 watts. Do you happen to have a prefernece on what amps I should be looking for? I like the way the HK sounds with the RF-35's being that I am in a small town and I am about 120 miles for a city that would have dealers to audition the equipment in I was looking for a short list for when I do happen to make the trip to listen.
  5. Another alternitive is to use my HK AVR7200 and use the pre outs on it and use a 5 channel amp. Has anyone used the pre outs on the 7200. I thought about and Earthquake Cinenova....
  6. The Outlaw combo seems like its price right. I can get the 990 processor and the 7700 amp for $3300. Would this be a big improvment over my current HK AVR 7200?
  7. I have attached a picof the room. It is not perfectly square and I was wrong on the measurements as well.....
  8. I am looking to upgrade my HK AVR7200 (if its worthwhile). I was thinking of getting a good Pre/Pro setup since I am moving into a new home after it is completed with an HT room. The room measures 19X19 with a 14' tray ceiling. I am also upgrading my speakers to the new Ref flagships and an SVS PB-12 Plus/2. I have looked at the new Sunfire stuff online but it sure seems a bit pricey. I would estimate my budget to be about 3K for the Pre/Pro setup. I welcome all of your comments.
  9. Well I am calling on all the experts here to help me with my proposed HT room in the new house (see attached). My current setup is RF-35 mains, RC-35 center and a HK AVR7200 receiver. I am wanting to use my RF-35's as surrounds and my RC-35 as the sixth channel. I want to upgrade my mains to RF-7's and a RC-7 center and the buy an SVS sub giving me a 6.1 setup. But from the looks of my room this isnt going to happen without having one speaker blocked by the wet bar. From what I can figure my only options are bookshelf speakers for the surrounds or the RS line. I will be using the room for entertaining and movie watching. Do I have any other options? Will I miss the BIG sound of the RF-7's by going with RB-75's? Could I still use my exsisting speakers? Lots of questions to answer before buying any new equipment.
  10. Thanks for the help and the compliments. I do plan on checking EVERY builder in my town and seeing what the have built before I settle on one. As for the evelation drawings I have attached them for your viewing pleasure...... The two cars garages are needed. I have 2 trucks, 2 cars, 2 ATVS, and 1 streetbike, and 1 racebike... I need alot of space for them.... Elev.pdf
  11. Sorry to hear that but now you got my worried. Is there any advice you can give me so I know what to look out for?
  12. I am not personally building it. There is no way I would attempt that myself....otherwise no this is my first home building experience....is there something I should know?
  13. Looks like I need to get to reading...
  14. Thanks for the explanation and the help. No I dont currently own the sub. I have just always heard good things about the SVS brand so thats what I was leaning towards. Those specs you listed for the Infinite Baffle sound great.....I am going to google it and have a look [H]
  15. LOL.... I guess I am a newbie I have no idea what any of that means. What do the numbers on the bottom represent?
