I am a fan of the flase corners, if you lack them in the room. There are MANY posts on the subject, just run a search.
The most interesting that I have saw lately were by Tigerwoodkhon (I think). They were a real nice design and would leave the speaker portable (realitive term with khorn) and were not real intrusive to the room.

I would lean to the older units. Freshen them up, and you know what you have.
Mac today is a name only. The company is now japanese owned. IMHO the quality is still good, but NO LONGER the great AMERICAN powerhouse. A perfect example of that is the car stereo line. Made by Clarion and a Mac name printed on it.

Yes, I have heard RF-7's. They are a nice product. But they are not in the same league a most of the Heritage line.

I would guess that you were shown a pair of horns that were lacking one or more important elements.
(1) Set into prpoer corners. (they still have a soundstage that is huge, just drop a little on the bottom end).
(2) Fed with quality components (garbage in = garbage out)
(3)A good recording.

Bob did a pair of AA for my khorns, work great. Honest guy easy to deal with.
I have DeanG nets in my scallas also a great product and good guy to work with.

Hey Joe,
I also had something like this happen. In the end the guy was aken into custody, given the either refund or have theft by deception filed.
Several months later from a pay phone i called the gas company, electric company, phone and cable asking that my (his) services be disconnected as i had sold the house and moving. The termination date i requested was the friday before Labor day. NO ELECT ect till Tuesday. Hope the jag off had a freezer full of meat. Petty and not becoming a officer, but sure made me feel a hell of a lot better.

traverse city is Michigan. In the north west section of the lower penn. This seller has sold some real nice corns in the past 6 months also.

What are you trying to say? That "Dope From Hope " is wrong, somehow less advanced than Bongiorno? You are on a KLIPSCH ownned site and have the bad manners to inmply that the DFH is somehow less......? Makes me wish I hasd the BS button artwork to post.
I stand by my comments. The fact is that the afore mentioned DFH is as I stated. That is what I know. That is why I referenced the sorce. You on the other hand chose to dull out opinion as if it were fact. As far as doing MY homework I have trired both of the process's mentioned. I find that the DFH design works best for Khorns with a scalla center (that is what i run) in my room.
YOU my wish to list a system in your profile, that way maybe us dullards can grasp where your experience is comming from.

Read Dope from Hope vol 15, no. 6 760061 and YOU will have the blueprint for a supurb 3 channel stereo. There are many of us here that run such a system. And I can not imagine returning to a 2 speaker system.
No, most of us DO NOT use the gadetry of todays ht set ups, rateher prefer the "bridged" center.
I third the motion to do a search of the topic. You will find much here on the subject.

Feeling real happy about my new truck (GMC Sierra Denali). But it has Blose sound in it. Could have been a flawless purchase, but no. Off to the hifi shop for a upgrade.
