  1. Hi,

I would be interested in your comparison of the I's and II's as you now have both. I have both Chorus I's and Cornwalls. In another post I mentioned that I felt the Chorus's go deeper, but the Cornwalls are smoother overall.

I was looking for the IIs, but then I came across this mint pair of Is. I certainly don't regret the decision. Originally, I had been looking for Cornwalls, but the seller was slow getting them boxed up. I thought he was having second thoughts, so I went for the Chorus. Then, he finally decided he was really gonna sell them. He asked me if I still wanted them. What could I say. I don't regret that decision either.

    Thanks,

    Mike

  2. I have both Chorus Is and Cornwalls. I have driven both pairs of speakers with SET amps (7.5 watts). Both have plenty of bass with even flea powered amps like mine. I'd have to say the Chorus go lower, but the Cornwalls are smoother. I had a subwoofer in my system prior to the Chorus when I was driving Hereseys. Took the subwoofer out, once I got the Chorus's

I will be setting another room up with the Cornwalls, and I will put the subwoofer in that system.

    As usual, YMMV.

    Regards,

    Mike

  3. Thanks, the schematic looks very similar to what I have although the inductor and capacitor values are a bit different as well as the fact there is no resistor in the network. However, I am looking at a spare crossover that came with the speakers.

The large cap is a bipolar with a value of 68 uF. The inductors are 2.5 and .16 mH. I have not measured the small film caps, so I am not sure of their values.

I am a bit confused with all the different versions of crossover networks I have read about in the posts with respect to Heresy (I and II) speakers.

Can anyone advise me which revision I likely have? Further, what is the factory spec'd DCR of the inductors?

    Thanks,

    Mike

  4. I have been searching the message board, and I have seen references in the posts, but I have not yet actually found a schematic for the Heresy II Crossovers. I just recently purchased a pair of 85 vintage Heresy(s), and I am planning on tweaking the crossovers. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

    Thanks,

    Mike
