  1. The market will decide.  Imagine the family discussion.  "Of course we should hold on to granddaddy's joy that he loved so much he never even drove it."  "I know, let's hold on to it too and never drive it either."  "I agree, the bed could hold all of his baseball card collection too!"  BTW did anyone watch the latest episode of Hoarders?  Those people are so whack!  "Hey!  I need the money we can get from that truck to buy a pair of Jubilees."  What?  Speakers?  What is wrong with you?

"Aren't you late for a book banning meeting?"

  2. The boomers that are bidding them up to stupidity will die in the next 20 years.  The inheritors will decide the market after that.  Watching the televised auctions I am smh at what some things bring, but just look at who is buying.  Eventually, the real valuable items will remain as before the insanity, and the stupidity will subside to the baseline---Oh look, an old car.  Nicely restored isn't it?

Hahaha, from what I was told those things are fantastic.   :)

I'm sure it did.  I'm actually thinking about getting my old 350w Perreaux dialed back in.  One channel fried so I'm sure it'll be pricey.  The really down side is my dude is in St. Louis.  The upside is the SM2 preamp works perfectly.  He told me he'd just do them both and match them perfectly.  So there's that.  lol

I think it's hilarious that ppl actually "grade" the covers.  Yea, I get it but do ya really, I mean REALLY, look at the cover?  Gimme the moosic!  😂  Gonna do a lil spinnin shortly :)

For sure.  But baseball cards are also judged for their covers (appearance) along with who it is, what manufacturer distributed it, and so on.  For collectors, it is not always about the music unfortunately.  Who cares about them, except that sometimes they raise the price of what we like to obscene levels.  BTW, you got the beanie babies?  (crank yankers reference)

  4. It is pointless to argue the actual numbers, especially when there is a wide difference between "capacity" and actual "production," but as a whole I agree with you.  The important point is that diversification and seeking out new and better technologies is good for the nation.  There are many steps in the right direction.

If you think wind mills and solar panels are going to charge 500,000 electric cars you are delusional. But I’d love to hear your solution.

I never said anything of the kind.  Coal, however, represents around 10% of total US energy production.  So if you think coal is going to charge that amount of electric cars you are delusional.  But I'd love to hear your response to my city's municipal electricity production being largely from renewable resources, with the rest from natural gas which burns a lot cleaner than the black stuff.

I got it for Christmas, in hardcover.  I wonder if the audiobook would be fun?  I've never tried one.

Destroys the intrinsic value of reading.  We read to small children.  Early in their lives we teach them to read.  Audiobook, really?

Individuals within all of the organizations take the very weak position of saying, “yes, but we didn’t know.”  IMO, they knew. More important, it was their responsibility to know.  It was their responsibility to know and to protect the vulnerable from predators.  They failed miserably.
