  1. My ls may not shake the foundation but they do shake the walls and pictures of my parents home and that is a good 5 acers from my shop where I keep my lascalas. Must be the mid range.
  2. Not sure how loud I play my music but my dad lives a good five acers away and he could tell you. My wife went over to see mom and dad and she told me their walls shake. I love my lascala.
  3. That would be a quarter mile we are talking about and thats if the money thing gets a lot better then it is now. The hemi would be neat but double the price for the same horse power. I think I can get 900 hp out of these B1 heads pretty easy but I have to get a good block. The stock 440 block wont take to many passes with that kind of horse power in a 70 cuda and for what it would cost to get a stock block ready for the B1 heads I just as well go buy mopars race 440 block. For now getting a floor in my shop is top of the list. Seems like the cuda always gets put on the long list. I hope to see it on the short list one of these days.
  4. Thanks, they might have darkend. If its stain its not a dark stain thats for sure. The stickers on the back say ls br. Did the br come with a clear coat? The duster has a stock 400 big block that I put in some years ago and the cuda after I get the block will be 550 cubic inches. I have a new steel stroker crank and a pair of B1 prostock heads for the cuda. My goal is low nines or high eights.
  5. I used to. Too short on funds right now. The one with the fatties on the back is a 70 cuda. It needs sanded down and painted. It used to be a beautiful car. Still would be with some paint on it. The other is a 70 duster. I want to fix it up for the street.
  6. Here is the other. I guess I need to get some old sheets to throw on them to keep the dust off. These point out the east overhead door. 10 acre's straight east of that is mom and dads place. When I crank them up and walk over to their house the sound bounces off the front of their house. They are a lot more loud then I thought they would be.
  7. If raw birch is unfineshed someone did stain these how ever they are in great shape. I know this looks bad sitting on the floor but I am getting the concrete poured shortly and the shop floor stays very dry.
  8. Yes but it will be tomarrow befor I post them, Im in for the night but I will take some pic's when I go out to the shop. I was real suprised when they got here and unwraped them. Who ever owned them took care not to bang them around because there was only one chip on the back at the top about 1/4 inch. I dont see any putty so being built in 76 they are in out standing shape. I have seen some on ebay that looked so beat up they would have had to pay me to take them.
  9. wp Thanks. They dont look that old and they sure dont sound that old. Someone took good care of them.
  10. Thanks again. I have listend to them all afternoon. They make the 50 by 70 foot shop seem small. Such a big sound, I cant get enough but I did get a headach. My mom who is 70 years old came over to listen was amazed at the life like sound. She had me crank it up loud when I played willie nelson and belive it or not ac dc also.
  11. The only klipsch speakers I had ever heard until today were the k horns. My la scala speakers showed up today and I was worried about a lack of bass because of what some people said in other post about the la scalas bass or lack of. This I know for a fact, if you play ac dc off a cd the bass will knock your socks off. They are not a k horn but my sister who had some k horns smiled when she listend to these la scala today and said it brought back old memories of what a good speaker sounds like. The first thing she did after hearing them was to look for the brand name and when she saw the klipsch tag, said no wonder they sound so good.
  12. bkrop Thanks. You dot have any Idea what year these la scala are do you? Ser. no. is 6p958 they are ls br and in great shape.
  13. Come on guys, Im dieing to hear these speakers.
  14. Do I hook the speaker wires on the two black wires with the nuts on them ?
