  1. Funny thing is that Sub is a Car Subwoofer for 120$ (Polk DX 12 inch wich is currently discontinued) and the Kiegta Amp was 229$ with 600watts rms. you can do annything when you have the stuff infront of you. Plus you own the room it goes in, start testing things and have the option to try others as well. your ear is better than ours and can only give you input.

  2. like i was saying if you get a woofer say a long throw 10 with a rms of 400 and a 300 watt amp(around 300 or 350 bucks) plus 50$ for wood and some time to test Ported and Sealed (maybe even bandpass)styles you can really get a good idea on what will sound good. Personally that sub i showed you is mutch like the Infinity HT subs and will put out mutch better sound from a ported enclosure. but everyone likes doing their own thing and has opinions about stuff. Id say if you goto a store get the Yamaha 1000w 10inch if they still have it or just test some subs with a 30 day return policy and see what you like.

  3. yeah that JBL series woofer doesnt compete at all, the MDF wood they use is very crappy as well and when pushed to hard will start flexing the box(Mutch like the old series but with worse sound) the old version was remarkable and sounded great with almost pure sound quality(my opinion) and suggest a somewhat different alternative(If you have the time to make the woofer sound the way you like.)

  4. dont get the JBL sub they made crappy 2004 editions if you can find the 2001 with the down firing 12 with the 600 watt amp. or just stick with a Full set of klipsch. but then again thats all opinion.(but ive seen the JBL 12 with 250w in action to others and its not really all that great, personally id get a Klipsch, Polk or Infinity subs.)

  5. I can but i really would prefer a closed area demo so that i can hear it in a closed space other wise i wont be able to tell mutch defferences. They have it setup on a shelf and it doesnt do me annygood when you cant play the type of sounds on the Speakers.

  6. Ok cool, i saw those and i think ill go with that. But what i really want to know is if the sub that comes from Klipsch(the 2.1 sub), will be better or worse then the Home theater 6.5" 50 watt yamaha subwoofer i got. I mean this thing pounds for a 6.5" sub and it hits in the low 20Hz range but wont go above 150hz. For games its awsome but i want to know if this subwoofer that the 4.1 and the 2.1 is really gonna compare to the HT one i have.

  7. that sucks for the stuff thats supposed to be collectors. Annyways does annyone know where i can find the best deals, so far the only place with 2.1 Pro's is HP.com for 150 and i really dont like HP and how they ship stuff(Bad rumors about them) and if i can would 4.1 Pro's be better for the SB Audigy ZS or just 2.1 on EAX with an extra 6.5" yamaha subwoofer(Specificly for home theater) ?? anny suggestion for a 15 * 10 computer room and celeing mounted speakers?????

  8. how does 170 bucks for the 4.1 ProMedias sound. Brand new shelf items(Local PC store sells them for a great price for some odd reason) and they include Brackets Speaker stands and 50 feet of 12 guage SPeakerwire plus an extra preamp cable.?? plus whats a good price for 2.1 Pro's

  9. well in that case even if the speakers or sub work and you already own the same system you can use the extra parts. the Patch cable, Mounting brakets, 4 hopefully working speakers and the sub. But chances are that the owner puts that up and worries about people calling about broken stuff is 50/50. it just depends

  10. 2.8E 800Mhz FSB, 1 Gig DDR400 of Kingston Hyper X memory, 5200 Ultra from PNY(wich BTW sucks for this computer) Serial-ata Maxtor HD (80 gig) ViewSonic CRT flatscreen 17" and upgrading to the ProMedia 2.1 with an Audigy 2 ZS, Wich i hate to admit for under 450 bucks still coulda done better.
